|
Certificate of Proficiency in RadiotelegraphyLike all radio officers trained during the war, Gordon Mumford obtained a "special certificate" when he took his initial training in 1942. While he was on the Empire Harmony, the Chief Radio Officer helped Gordon and the other junior radio officer with their studies. When he returned to Britain, he sat for the examination for a permanent certificate, which he obtained in September 1944. His original certificate was lost when the Empire Path sank that December, and was replaced in January 1945. |
