You will require a password to access the Kenya Korner List, and you must register (join) in order to access the List. The Kenya Korner List is a protected database of names, email addresses, and personal information (yours and other registrants). This has been done to protect the privacy and personal information of everyone on the list.

Please do not share the password. Anyone interested in joining the list should communicate directly with us for the information. From time to time the password will be changed. Keep your email address current so that you will received notices about any site changes. These lists are not sold or shared.

The Kenya Korner List consists of this page and the list of names in alphabetical order with email addresses, including lists under school and employer names. It contains names, personal information, schools and/or employers for those who once were residents or have a family connection with East Africa, and now wish to reconnect with friends and acquaintances or trace family connections. Others can look for you under your name, your former name, and your school(s) or workplace.

If you wish to make contact with former friends not on the list, please submit their names. The individual names will be entered on the Kenya List, along with a request for information and your email.

When you register for the List, you will be put on our mailing list to receive our newsletter with information about password changes and any modifictions to the list or website. While we do our best to protect the data on the website, it is up to individuals to protect their computer and messages from potential viruses.

TO JOIN THE LIST

Please click here. Your message should include the following information:

*your email address

*what you or your family did in East Africa (give your school(s), employer(s), where you lived, farmed, or worked, etc.)

*the years (dates) for each school, employer, etc. in East Africa

OPTIONAL: your present location and a short summary about yourself

OPTIONAL: you may also include the name(s) of friend(s) you wish to find.

Entries are usually posted within a week. If you have not received a reply within two weeks, please contact us again.

Check your email address to see that it is correct.

Remember to notify Kenya Korner to update your information and/or your email address.

If you have a general request (one not associated with an individual), it will be entered on the ASK US (East Africa Information Requests) page, along with your email address. You can also request to have a request placed on this page. As this section is open to anyone using the Internet, you may prefer to obtain a hotmail or gmail address for this purpose.

Are you planning a trip to East Africa? Perhaps you have questions about a particular place you once knew (a farm or your former family home), but street names have changed. The name of your former school may have changed, or you can only give a vague description.

AFRICAN ADVENTURES Section

Select the African Adventures section for the complete list of files located here. This section is available to anyone using the Internet. If you have school pictures or other pictures of interest please send a jpg or gif file as an attachment to an email. Send each file individually (one image per email) and put the description of the image in the message area, and NOT on the subject line.

REUNIONS: East Africa, School, or Association Reunions

Are you hosting a reunion? Whenever we receive information about a reunion, whether it be for one school, an association (e.g., Kenya Police, Kenya Regiment, etc.), or open to all former residents of East Africa, it will be listed here. It will contain the website for the reunion and/or a contact email for the person organizing the event. As the list of reunions is open to the Internet, the organizer may wish to use a hotmail (or gmail, etc.) email address for this event.
