Panoramic View of Nairobi

Nairobi - Photographed from South Hill in early 1900s

Photo submitted by Petter Finne: This composite of two photographs, which I inherited from my
grandmother, was taken in the early 1900s. It is a general view of
Nairobi, taken (I think) from the Lower Hill area.

Stereoview of German East Africa (Tanganyika)

This stereoview of a hotel was taken by a Belgian Army officer in 1916 in what was German East Africa. He went through Kamanyola, Kigoma, Tabora, and Dodoma, so it is likely the hotel was in what is today northwestern Tanzania. If you click on the photo, you will see a "positive" view.

Have you ever seen it before?  Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Please contact Bob Boyd if you can help.

Please contact the KenyaKorner if you wish a larger image file
